Ghana plans to transform motorway from Accra to Tema

According to the “Ghanaian Times” reported on August 28, the Government of Ghana is seeking to form public-private partnerships for Accra Tema motorway transform, bidirectional four-lane expansion to six lanes.

At present, three companies submitted a project proposal to the Ghana Highway Authority.

Deputy director of the Ghana Highway Authority Alhaji Baba Kassim said, the project during the road reconstruction, toll system will also be transformed at the same times. Construction of electronic toll collection equipment to improve the efficiency of charge, as far as possible through the toll to repay the projects investment. Kassim also pointed out that the renovation project that whether upgrading concrete motorway to asphalt motorway is decided by the final investment.
